More Fool Me - Stephen Fry

This a Stephen Fry memoir that might originally have had the title "More Fool You" until the editors pointed out that that might be too close to the knuckle. By the end of the book, and I did at least make it to the end, I had the feeling of a book written purely to meet the commitment of a publisher's advance.

The first half is a rehash of many key parts from Mr.Fry's previous auto-biographies and you would be better served reading those biographies, something the author himself writes several times.

The second half then switches to diary extracts from the August to November 1993 period. It all luuvies this and fantastic that, whizzing between recording and private clubs with copious drinks and drugs. And repeat and repeat. A brief break on at an health spa gives no relief as it replace the previous with played gold, had massage, did some writing, and repeat and repeat.

So take the author's advice, read his other books, not this one.
